DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP THROUGH ATTITUDE

Today’s leaders must have a "whatever-it-takes" attitude, essential for achieving success and making a lasting impact. Leaders must be willing to go the extra mile, overcome obstacles, and persevere through challenges to accomplish their personal goals and help their teams grow.
So, what is a "whatever-it-takes" attitude? It is a mindset of determination, resilience, and unwavering commitment to achieving one's objectives. It is not about being stubborn or inflexible, but rather about being adaptable and resourceful in the face of adversity.
A foundational component for building an attitude that is positive and proactive is gratitude. This can be challenging, since we can be selfish more often than we’d like to admit. Here are 3 elements for expressing thankfulness and gratitude:
Express gratitude for both the big and small things
Express gratitude even when things are tough and not going your way
Express gratitude regardless of your attitude (I know, easier said than done, but it will seriously improve how you feel!)
How can having a "whatever-it-takes" attitude benefit you and your team? You’ll be able to overcome challenges and obstacles more effectively. Trust and respect among your team will strengthen. Your personal attitude will inspire others to achieve their own goals.

But we all know that growth and development as leaders doesn’t happen without challenges, right? Being aware of the things we will have to fight through is important. Things like fear of failure, lack of self-belief, negative self-talk, excuses. We all face these from time to time. I’m sure you’ve had to battle one of these in the past. I know I have.
Here are a few strategies to help you grow through the challenges of building and maintaining a positive, proactive attitude:
Set clear goals – include plans and tactics to work through,
Visualize success – spend time alone imagining the outcomes you’d like to experience,
Practice self-discipline – focus your mindset on positive foundations each morning, maintain a list of key initiatives to complete each day, keep your priorities in a healthy order and allocate your time each day based on these priorities,
Surround yourself with positive influences – read and listen to resources that feed and refresh you, maintain friendships with people who help you stay accountable to your goals and uplift you.
A positive, proactive, “whatever-it-takes” attitude is contagious. This week, look for ways to develop your attitude, be an example for others, and encourage those around you.
