Social justice, in the context of healthcare, revolves around the concept of equality in terms of the provision of healthcare needs. This means that people from different backgrounds, including but not limited to race, age group, and social class, deserve equality in the manner of healthcare administration.

Social justice can be beneficial to vulnerable populations across all levels of health policy, as it would aim to bridge the gap that prevents them from accessing healthcare. This can be achieved at the lowest levels, which is local since when done on a significantly large scale, this could affect the element of healthcare administration at national and potentially, international levels.

Therefore, this would completely do away with the issue of underserved members in society since the access to healthcare would be similar across people from different cultures, age groups, lifestyles, and locations, which would help in the overall goal of healthcare administration.

The one aspect of the current nursing practice that lacks social justice towards the vulnerable population is that of information about healthcare administration to the elderly in society. The nursing field, in general, does a lot to address specific issues threatening healthcare but constantly overlooks the impact that information about the provision of long-term nursing care could have on society.

In this case, the elderly population lacks access to quality healthcare through nursing homes since they do not have enough information pertaining to the availability of such services. Therefore, the provision of more information to the elderly about nursing homes would be a positive addition to the nursing field as it would not only improve the lives of the elderly but also reduce mental and financial strains among the families of the elderly population.
