Developing effective eLearning through the tools
Storyboarding: An understanding with client through a storyboard and then when you know what you need to produce, use the eLearning tools to do so.
Instructional designing, visual design and creativity skills: To really shine at eLearning, the key is to ensure that your instructional design is solid first. A module with 100 bells and whistles is of little value if it doesn't produce the result the client wants it to.
Tools: There are tools are like Articulate, Captivate and Storyline equipped with enough built-in functionality where you don't really need to do any additional scripting.
Mastering triggers, layers etc: Focus on using the tools to their fullest and achieve mastering triggers, layers etc to make you e-learning course effective.
Java scripting: It makes you efficient when you use it to create some neat things. It is like the icing on the cake.
Out-of-the-box functionality: An out-of-the-box functionality is generally all that required to make the course beautiful and presentable.
