In this issue of Developer’s Notes, we focus on the art of meeting guests at the right time, place, and channel, e.g. SMS vs Email, whether it's before, during, or after their stay. Data insights guide us on this journey, revealing the preferences of modern travelers and the importance of tailored communication.

Behind the scenes, we’re transitioning everyone to AeroGuest Communication, set to be finalized by mid-June. Additionally, we're amplifying our capabilities by integrating additional booking data from our Property Management System (PMS) partners. This enhancement will enable us to deliver even more personalized and exceptional communication experiences to your guests.

Why It Matters: Research indicates that guests have distinct channel preferences throughout their journey. As shown above, email reigns supreme, offering a personalized touch and essential information.

Prior to the guest’s stay: Let's focus on the crucial period before guests arrive, where anticipation is high, and preparation is key. During this phase, we understand the power of email and its ability to guide and reassure the guest every step of the way.


1. Booking Confirmed:Rest assured, your booking is secured!” Complete with all the details you need about your upcoming stay. Plus, a gentle nudge to complete your check-in before you arrive, saving you time upon arrival.

2. Get Ready:Excitement is building as your stay approaches!” In this email, you'll share insider tips on local dining spots, must-see attractions, and everything in between. And of course, another friendly reminder to complete check-in and get the best arrival experience.

3. Check-In Invitation:Skip the lines and start your stay stress-free!” Email encouraging guests to complete check-in before arrival.

4. Check-In Still Opened:Time is ticking! If you haven't checked in yet, don't worry, there's still time.” A gentle reminder only to the guests who still haven’t completed check-in.

5. Last Chance to Check In Online:Good morning! As the sun rises on the day of your arrival, we wanted to send you one last reminder to complete your online check-in. Simply click the link in your SMS to breeze through check-in and start your stay on the right foot.” When all else fails, send a text message directly to your guests' phone, to get the last few arrivals checked in.
