Developers Need Outsourcing, Do not Have To Learn Everything

Do you wish to become a specialist or generalist? In the either of the choice, I do appeal to go through my views in this article.

Use your workweek more wisely by delegating and outsourcing tasks to the right people so you can focus on what's really important for your company. I learned the hard way that, it's actually impossible to do everything alone. Asking for and hiring help almost always gives the necessary push to make every day more productive than flying solo.

We entrepreneurs do have the habit of doing everything by our own. It may be Purchasing of materials, Meetings with delegates, Networking meetings, Hiring of professionals, developing new technologies, dealing with customers etc. we wish to perform all these tasks although with the team but on our directions. If you are owner or founder of the organization, I am sure you don’t deny from this.

Let me share you here my experience on this.

“Hey, Chitrak ! You are really great at Story telling.” This is the common complement I often get from my social circle. Probably they are right. If you ask me to talk about fitness, meditation and yoga probably I will talk for the next couple of hours. I can make any celebrations or parties memorable lifelong.?I can guide people dos’ and don’ts in foreign trips probably better than any travel guide. But, are these my core areas of profession? The answer is NO. Probably these are my passion and I love to follow but not the profession.

?I am sharing this what I used to do about four – five years ago. I preferred to design the branding, marketing and advertising campaigns on my own of our group. I personally involved in the purchasing of the raw materials, ensure about the brands, quality etc. I was very particular to observe the logistic and supply chain management work effectively. I had a habit of pip into financial matter for each transaction. I felt, I have knowledge of every areas and my interventions are needed to deliver the best despite of having experts of each field in my team.

This habit started deviating me from my core goals. It is my dream to see Shivalik group to develop more than 60 million. Sq. Ft. of realty space in coming future and also develop sustainable next-gen buildings.

As I do believe in giving back to the earth, we already started first step towards sustainability by implementing Gold Rated Green Building in one of our project Shivalik Avenue and which we wanted to continue in all upcoming projects which also create environments and spaces that enhance the quality of life of its customers.

So, primary goals are be the prominent National leaders in the Real estate sector, develop one of the best green projects, build luxurious apartments with all modern amenities.

I asked myself, which was my key role to perform? I did detailed introspect and find out the area where I am expert i.e. Designing Strategies. The one who identify the goals, decide the deadlines, plan the strategies, develop and guide to team the roadmaps to achieve the goals.

I realized that, doing multitasking are good. Having knowledge of each sector, area, field, and department may give you feeling of EXTRA Confident but at the cost of overburdening yourself and wasting of time and money.

If you wish your organization shall work on auto mode, most of the routine work of the projects shall take care by the concern department then you need to give the task to the experts or take help of outsourcing agencies.

In the Real estate industry, we have some of the important departments which need services of the experts. Such as, Construction and Civil Work, Interior and Product Design, Water, Drainage and Waste Management, Legal framework, Designing branding and advertising campaigns, Research and Customers Feedback, Real Estate Market Analysis, Order Supplies, Recruitment and Training, IT, Managing Manpower, Housekeeping etc. ?

The best way to save your time, money and get productive results are START OUTSOURCING the tasks as much as you can. Give the task to the professionals who are experts, well experienced and confident to handle. This will not only give you mental peace but in a long way you can get the best output of the cost you spent.

In a summary, I do agree that, we are real estate developers, we may not be knowing and having expertise in every areas. We need to identify our vital objectives and role in the organization, Focus on them to achieve with tireless efforts, hire people to observe and execute other tasks and take the help of outsourcing agencies who give you best results.
