• My role as a Leader: Exploring the differences and similarity between leadership, management and supervision, and how we can draw from all three regardless of our role.
• Leadership styles and qualities: A look at how different people lead in different ways, including managing benefits and challenges of each approach.
• Leading a team: Through a range of discussion and activities, we’ll look at how teams form and grow, along with how we balance strengths and weaknesses of team members.
• Maintaining motivation: Considering three models, we’ll tackle motivating team members from different angles to highlight the need to support staff both individually and holistically.
• Difficult behaviour: Covering where difficult situations come from, with an overview of how to approach and tackle them, including where conflict arises in the team.
• Our own behaviour, communication and culture: Going into the benefits of assertive behaviour for a leader, reflecting on our own approaches to situations, and leading the way towards a positive workplace culture for our team and beyond.
