As a witness, your life is not just about yourself. You have been called to carry others. The Samaritan carried the wounded man on his own beast, the beast being used figuratively to mean your spiritual resource and capacity to carry and bare others. Every true witness should have capacity to carry others.
It is expected of a true witness to constantly develop his capacity to carry more and more new converts in prayer, the word and follow-up. He must not be such that easily gives up on souls. Instead, he must follow souls up in prayer and by teaching them the Word until they are established in the faith, giving them the necessary spiritual and even financial support they may require.
Here is one more reason to grow faster in the things of God; so that those who you lead to Christ can be properly carried and effectively ministered to until they become Disciples of Christ too. It is a great responsibility that you must arise to.
