DevConf.CZ-mini - we are back live!

DevConf.CZ is a conference organized by a Red Hat and a group of volunteers. It's a free of charge conference which serves as a playground for speakers and conference volunteers. The conference welcomes first time speakers as well as already well known presenters and in the true spirit of open source, the conference offers anyone to contribute to its success.?

Here's a small history lesson about DevConf. Did you know that when DevConf.cz started we organized the conference at Masaryk university for the first five years? This was before a major reconstruction happened on both the Faculty of Informatics at Masaryk University but also Faculty of Information Technology at Brno University of Technology. Unfortunately the venue at Masaryk University was fairly small for the size of the conference so we've moved to Brno University of Technology. But this year, we're back at FI.muni.cz with an event that we call DevConf-mini.?

Why is it just "mini"? Well, after we've organized yet another virtual event this winter, we felt a bit disappointed. We missed the crowd, the hallway chatter, the discussions at booths, live workshops and pubs packed with excited developers each evening. Also with virtual event we reduced the number of sessions so after the conference we still had a ton of great proposals which we couldn’t accept. So the idea popped up to organize a smaller event at the venue we’ve been at in the past, with live speakers and audience.?

And it is happening - on June 2nd at Masaryk University - Faculty of Informatics we have 3 parallel tracks of talks and 3 parallel workshop tracks. We are starting at 2pm and run till the evening when we will have a party!
