Detoxification

A lot of us wonder if detoxification is only about weight loss and rightly so as all so-called dietitians have made us believe that. In reality, Detoxification is much more than just that. The liver is the hub for detoxification in the body. When one goes under detoxification, one shrinks the fat cells and releases weight one may have been holding onto. The organic way of eating while on a detox is clean-burning, nutrient-packed, easily digested and naturally energizing which increases one’s energy levels.

Eating light and clean foods that are primarily cooked or blended support the digestive process while the high fibre intake encourages bowel regularity. Further by eliminating toxins from one’s body and detoxifying it, the body starts to act as a shield against all the bacteria, viruses and infections to enter the body to cause harm.

Removing processed food from one’s diet further reduces the craving for sugary substances and increases hunger for clean and healthier foods. One skin feels fresh and clean, sleep becomes sound and deep and mental activity and retention become stronger.

Weight loss or no weight loss, detoxification should be exercised by everyone once in a while to generally recharge and reboot all bodily functions and discard dirt from the body.
