As we get closer to?Freedom Day ?on 27/04/2022

This Day marks the liberation of our country and its people from a long period of colonialism and white minority domination (apartheid).

The question is; Are we really free as South Africans?

We have to let go of hate if we want to be free.?

Something we have difficulties obtaining as South Africans, we may all think that we're free but are we really that free?

In the book of exodus, Moses is talking about the experience of the Israelis' lives in Egypt [The age of depression and slavery] When the Israelis lived and travel in the desert, and as they are about to cross the Jordan and enter the lands of promises, Moses said this words, 'Do not hate an Egypt for you're stranger in his land'?

Now, that language is very odd.

We have left the physical of apartheid, and now we must leave the mental experiences of apartheid. We must let go of hate because if we do not let go of hate_ We will never be free.?

Our freedom fighters fought a long battle for us, now is the time we fight the battle inside us.?

For they had taken us out of apartheid, but have not freed us from hate.?

It's time we take out the apartheid inside us.?

I don't want to be a slave to my past and a slave to my feelings of pain, injustice, and grievances.?

These are the line we need to repeat daily, in this very difficult century.

We've to let go of hate if we want to be free.??

I then will like to quote from Steve Biko 'I write what I like'?

Freedom is the ability to define oneself with one's possibilities held back not by the power of other people over one but by one's relationship to God and natural surroundings on his possibilities _ In other words to make his freedom real by whatever means he deems fit. At the heart of this kind of thinking is the realization by blacks that the most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. If one is free at heart, no man-made chains can bind one to servitude but if one's mind is so manipulated and controlled by the oppressor as to make the oppressed believe that he is a liability to the white man, then there will be nothing the oppressed can do to scare his powerful masters'

The Battle Within

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to obey Christ.?_?2 Corinthians 10:3-5???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Since we are born physical beings on this planet, and we grow up dominated by our flesh realm senses we are forced to learn about the reality of spiritual things to become effective in this hidden unseen realm. Too often we find that our senses rule our world and guide our lives.

If something hurts you physically you learn not to do that anymore. If something feels good or tastes good you learn to do that again. However, there is an unseen part of you that is the real you and this being is your spirit inside your physical body.

Today, I want you to ask yourself these questions: Does hate have a place in my life? Do I harbor any feelings of hatred toward myself or anyone else? If you do, I implore you to address this negative feeling before it becomes something much more dangerous. Hate, when left unchecked, will drain your spirit, tarnish your soul and darken your days.

We are all walking wounded. But there’s opportunity buried under those scars. Opportunity for a new life on Earth and eternal life.
