Destress Fest: 90's Film Edition

Finals can be overwhelming, but it’s especially during these times of stress that you have to consider your well-being beyond academics! To help Eccles students recharge, relax, and stay focused during the last week of the semester, Business Student Government (BSG) hosted our bi-annual Destress Fest. Students enjoyed a blast from the past with 90’s themed activities throughout the week.

To start off the week, students jammed out in Space Jam style with Adobe ambassadors and delicious Space Tea boba in the SFEBB Lobby. Students took a much needed break to enjoy a sweet treat and win fun prizes generously donated by Adobe.

“This is the most amazing event ever because I love boba and I get to enjoy it during finals week.” - Harper Brace, sophomore student studying Operations and Supply Chain.?

On Tuesday, students embraced their inner Cher Horowitz from Clueless by treating themselves to self-care kits packed with goodies while Red Bull Ambassadors served refreshing drinks to keep students energized throughout the week.?

Wednesday, students practiced stretching, breathing, and relaxing the mind and body with yoga sessions led by Salt Lake Power Yoga. Students also enjoyed Matrix themed snacks and a chance to win gift cards donated by Adobe. This event helped students find their focus to finish finals week strong!

“I had a really good time doing yoga. I needed to let loose and yoga helped me out. I loosened my body physically and most importantly it loosened my mind so I could take the stress off my shoulders and relax and think of the positivity around me. It was a memorable experience and I would love to do another session.” - Sha Kler, senior student studying Marketing.

The final day of Destress-Fest concluded with trained therapy dogs brought in by volunteers with Utah Pet Partners. Inspired by Airbud, students ended the week by unwinding with furry friends. After all, there’s nothing in the rulebook that says finals can’t be fun!?
