Destination Unknown

Destination Unknown

Today's devotional is from Life is a Goldmine: Can You Dig It? and focuses on faith.

"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going" - Hebrews 11:8.

Imagine getting in your vehicle today and driving, but not knowing where you were going, only that God would lead and guide you, and let you know when you arrived. That's what Abraham did (without the vehicle) and that's what faith requires you to do. You start 'driving' today toward your purpose and you aren't sure what it is or how you fulfill it. You set goals but have no idea where the provision or resources will come from to complete them. What's holding you back from the same faith journey Abraham made? Are you on your purpose journey, whose destination is known to God alone? Are your goals a simple jump or a monumental leap from where you are today?

Lord, I crave a roadmap at least to have an idea where I'm going, but sometimes my roadmap is simply listening to and obeying You. The fear and uncertainty of that keeps me from even getting into my purpose car and starting the engine! Help me to begin driving today toward a destination You will only make clearer along the way as we go.
