Destination Filter Myth DEBUNKED

Uber and Lyft limit the number of destination filters drivers can use per day, and therefore many drivers don’t think they’re very effective. In this article, veteran driver and RSG contributor Sergio shares how to best use these filters to plan your day and earn more.

Here’s what readers are saying:

Long time reader Will summed it up the best - destination filters are designed to get you more rides in general, not one ride per filter:

“Sergio has taught me that DFs are best not used as DFs, but as a way to stay in a hot area & to maximize the number of rides.”

Uber Is Now Charging Riders Surcharges For Events Like The Super Bowl?

It looks like Uber is already beginning to charge riders in Los Angeles surcharges ahead of the big game at SoFi Stadium. What do these surcharges look like - and will drivers see an increase in earnings?

Here’s what readers are saying:

Viewer Mike shares a common sentiment among drivers - driving during big events, like the Super Bowl, is tough on drivers. From traffic jams to grumpy (and possibly drunk) passengers and more, it’s a significant amount of work for drivers to provide Uber and Lyft’s essential service - transportation.

“I'm ok with Uber and Lyft charging riders a surcharge for high demand events, IF 95%+? (or even better all) of that surcharge is going to the driver.??

It's the drivers who are putting in 100% of the additional time/miles/aggravation/etc of dealing with traffic near and around big events.???

It doesn't cost Uber or Lyft a single dime more on their side.? Matching & dispatch are no different, big event or not.”

DoorDash Pizza Program & How To Maximize YOUR Earnings As A Delivery Driver

What is DoorDash’s pizza program, and how can DoorDash drivers leverage it with their regular DoorDash requests? This could be a new lucrative way for drivers to earn more, so we dive into what drivers should know about it.?

Here’s what readers are saying:

Viewer Monique shares that, so far, delivering pizza via DoorDash has paid off for her:

“A couple of weeks ago I delivered a huge order for Pizza Hut! DoorDash asked me to take a picture of my catering bag... I put 4 pizzas in the bag. When I opened the bag for delivery you can see steam coming out of the bag! The customer tipped $23.”

Once again, I had made the mistake and followed one of those Ambulance Chasers in the hope of getting something from the UBER?LYFT Millionaires. But I guess a poor old fart like me deserves nothing! I want one of you over paid and under worked to live on $1,600 a month? This includes $926 S.S, that the FState of NM is now taxing!
