Despite expensive F&B, a better deal @Rs 99/-per ticket on National Cinema Day
Several theatres across the country offered tickets at discoes i.e., just for Rs 99/-, thanks to the much awaited National Cinema Day celebration which was observed today. .
But more than spending any money for a worthy movie, its the F&b Segment, i.e,. food and beverages, which often burn a hole in the pockets of a movie goer. Right from a packet of snacks2a bottle of soft drink - everything is costly in cinema complexes. Needless to mention about parking fees which adds tears to the trouser-purses.
Most of the film enthusiasts were satisfied with a reasonable concessional offer of Rs. 99/- per ticket,, for, regular ticket prices in major cities use to be in the range of Rs. 350 to 500 on other days. Which in effect reflects that four to five friends would have watched the movie on a regular ticket cost today.
Its time theatre owners redesign their strategies to attract audience all the 365 days by downsizing the prices of F & B to the advantage of the audience. An offering like combo-methodology with their permutations and combinations may work well to lure more family audience to movie halls. Such strategies are sure to make cine lovers to move out of their 10x10 WfH rooms only to proceed towards a bigger theater halls - just to relax and enjoy the movie with the accompaniment of hundreds of co-film fans.
At the end of the entertainment-filled day, theater owners somehow made it possible to attract the movie enthusiasts to theaters, that itself yielded the very concept of National Cinema Day celebrations a thumbing success.
