Desperately Seeking God!

We want to understand and know the impossible … However, God is often misunderstood and all we are left to do is ponder what He is up to… What is He doing? Our own belief in our own goodness can actually stand in the way of our strength in trusting God and of wondering at His work. None of us can avoid God’s movement regardless of our standing with Him! There are troubles, trials we must deal with. God doesn’t need us to understand His way or His why.

This may be the test. When God doesn’t make sense can we trust Him still?

When God hasn't moved God’s lack of moving doesn’t mean He can’t move and won’t. Who else is powerful enough to save? God’s lack of moving doesn’t mean He has rejected you or has failed in His love for you.

Principle: God’s love is unchanging so that it will never fail & it is impossible for God to fail!

God is alive and living. He isn’t asleep. He is just still. Stillness is often mistaken for rejection. Silence is misunderstood for feelings of being forgotten. God isn’t blind or hiding his face, and it is impossible for Him to forget anything about the misery and oppression that is happening to us. YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN! He is testing us for His good, for His glory and for our good. Our position of lowliness, and being prostrate before Him isn’t being missed. WE CRY OUT, "Move God, Rise, Rescue!"

I choose to believe IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE your love for me can not, will not, and has not failed. I choose to believe your love is the same "UNCHANGED" for me today as it was in the past. I am waiting. I am hoping in You. I believe in a love from You which is unchanged by my sin, can not be dissolved by troubles and distress and this is so powerful it will preserve my soul with You forever.

Principle: When God seems delayed and you are anxious always place your present troubles firmly in the long history of God’s track record of His unchanging love.

Principle: God’s tool for adjusting your Heart to His Divine Love for you is walking with you in desperate times!

God doesn’t use those who haven’t BEEN desperate for God to move. God needs his children to know and to believe that He will come through for them.

Some action steps to take. First Read Psalms 44.

5 PLACES TO LOOK FOR THOSE DESPERATELY SEEKING GOD (Psalms 44) 

1. Look BACK at What He has done that is good for you. 

2. Look AT the trouble you are presently in. 

A. It is real.

B. Place it inline properly. (WITH ALL THE BLESSINGS THERE WILL BE TROUBLE)

C. Remind yourself THIS TROUBLE is temporary (THIS WILL PASS MAKE SURE YOU ARE BETTER AND GROWING FROM IT)

3. Look INWARD to see if it is a consequence of sin, or poor choices and confess! 

4. Look FORWARD to God to move & MAKE THE CALL by asking Him to move! (SEEK THE WISDOM OF FRIENDS WHO HAVE WALKED THIS PATH)

5. Look UP at Him; His Character… He is unchanging in His love for you!
