Ventrata's journey in enhancing desktop POS solutions began in 2016 with the deployment of an iOS-only application, leveraging devices like the iPhone SE paired with the SM230i printer and the Verifone E315 card reader through Adyen. The evolution continued in 2018 as we began incorporating Stripe POS readers, enhancing our system's flexibility for iOS users.?

During the 2018-2020 period, Ventrata launched GPS tracking for buses, adding a layer of operational efficiency to Hop-on Hop-off operators, allowing them to track the location of their live tours. In early 2020, we expanded this support with the integration of bus turnstiles, streamlining access and control mechanisms allowing for faster onboarding of customers and reducing stop times.?

In 2019, we expanded our platform compatibility with the introduction of a React Native Android app for Sunmi devices, although initially without integrated payment gateways. This period also marked the start of our partnership with Pax devices, known for their enhanced device management and excellent gateway coverage. This collaboration continued to evolve and in 2021 we introduced our first Desktop Box Office terminals with Pax E700 in the US and incorporated Elo i-series into our bus systems.

By 2020, our collaboration with BridgePay was established in the US, while in Europe we transitioned to using Viva.com solutions. 2022 marked the debut of our fully integrated kiosk solutions, completing our portfolio of robust, flexible POS systems tailored for museums, attractions, and experience providers.
