Desire
On a blue walk
Here in New York town
Past a man on a heating grate
Trying to keep warm
Onto the wide avenue
Of glittering dreams
Neon language of desire
Keeping ahead of the fire
Cars zoom by
Never stopping
Ever moving
Towards another day
In steel and crystalline abandon
Some here had no chance
Others soared to the sky
All lived their hearts
In shadows of gardens and spires
Keep your hopes
Those schemes and screams
Let heat melt every wire
Never loosen rhythm
Beating deep in love's midnight
Yes, there is another day
Coming soon
Shining bright

A promenade under Venus Urania, assimilated in the morning mist from the river, ever-flowing... ? ? ? ??
