Monday 12th - Friday 16th December 2016

This course deals with the legal framework of industrial safety law illustrating how the law operates using specific court cases. 

Course Outline:

  • Legal framework of industrial safety law  
  • Specific fire law, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and associated guidelines  
  • High hazard safety law  
  • Manslaughter, Corporate Manslaughter and Negligence law in relation to safety and fire  

The course is directed by Professor Gordon Andrews.
