DESIGNSMITH creates interiors for Emirati F&B concept Nourish’s second launch

The F&B concept by two Emirati cousins is in the community where they grew up - Last Exit - Al Khawaneej.

Now a second space is opening at the most northern outpost of Meraas's luxe truck stop concept, serving a holistic health food concept that caters towards an Emirati taste and preference.

It's to be enjoyed in a setting designed and furnished by the Designsmith design team.

Having grown up in the UAE, Designsmith Design Director Mihir Sanganee was excited to work on a local concept.

During client design briefing sessions the owners stressed to us the importance of supporting local industries. Taking that into account, all the interiors in the restaurant were manufactured in the country, and we have used natural, earthy tones and materials such as wood and brass in the overall design.

During our meeting with Mr. Ahmed Mattar Al Tayar, Nourish co-owner said: “The UAE government has been very supportive and allowed for dining in to resume, we are functioning at full capacity and this is a sign that people are still willing to eat out, they haven’t forgotten our servings and this is a reinforcing sign for us to add another location."
