A designation for the holy grail
Financial Planning
The leading resource of news, data and analysis for the wealth management industry.
I wrote a couple weeks ago about the niches advisors can carve out in their practices that can be both rewarding and quite lucrative.
One niche that will always be around is for those who want to serve the biggest fish of all —?ultrahigh net worth clients, who have $30 million or more in investable assets.?
Recently, the Investments and Wealth Institute rolled out its accelerated certified private wealth advisor program for advisors who serve ultrahigh net worth clients. At just under three months, the program fast-tracks a course of study that aims to help financial advisors better serve their wealthiest clients.?
We have in the past written about a number of certifications that advisors have found useful, from the regular-paced CPWA and the CFA to the CRPC, a retirement-focused designation.
Our goal is to create a catalog of sorts to help advisors determine which trainings and certifications can best help them and their clients. To that end, I’d love to hear more about the letters after your name that have made the most difference. My email address is below.
Thanks for reading.
CFP(R)
7 个月Certainly CFP(R) is the gold standard but CPWA is an advance curriculum. Also CTFA is a high value Bank/ Trust company designation. All the best, Paul
