Design vs Art

Art is more about expression, design is more about Function.

Though both Design and Art seems similar they are quiet different. where Art is more about expression, design is more about Function

Art is about Expression:

• The purpose of Art is highly subjective, Art is primarily created for your own sake. You may be expressing your feeling, creativity or imagination through your art.
• Your Art may move some people or might not even resonate with other people.
• Artists often work intuitively, driven by their inner vision and personal expression.

Design is about Function:

• The purpose of Design is more objective, it's all about functionality, usability, or delivering a message through visuals or designing things to function more efficiently.
• Design usually have a purpose to fulfil, design is used to solve a problem efficiently.

Conclusion:

• While Art is more subjective and may not have a specific purpose, on the other hand design is more objective and has a specific purpose and focuses on solving problem efficiently.
