Educators around the world are at a brisk moment in reshaping next generation and have seen a paradigm change since last 5 years, What shapes future education will have the tremendous effect on once learning but most educators and observers agree that the future of education will go electronic with a difference. Our charge in future is to accept the challenge as an Information age by intersecting the existing and acknowledge, the responsibilities of learning at an epistemic moment when learning itself is the most dramatic medium of that change. Technology, we insist, is not what constitutes the revolutionary nature of this exciting moment
Idea Generation
Although I teach future Managers at a prestigious MBA institute at the heart of Malnad, I understand from my teaching is to teach effectively we need to cross over from traditional teaching methodology. Today Students are even a step ahead of understanding anything. Nevertheless, teaching is an art but can we design a teaching art which makes students study subject easily? Burning with deep desire to make the revolutionary change in the way we integrate technology by marrying theory with practical and have found and initiated the effective way of transforming blended learning with today’s education, Mobile Learning - A mix of Instructor-led and online teaching.
Design Thinking for Educators-An initiative
Although Design is most often used to describe an object or end result, Design in its most effective form is a process, an action, a verb not a noun. A protocol for solving problems and discovering new opportunities. Techniques and tools differ and their effectiveness is arguable but the core of the process stays the same. It’s taken years of slogging through Design equals to high style to bring us full circle to the simple truth about new form of education with seemingly integrating technology
Unlike instructor-led training or eLearning, there are no industry-accepted standards for designing mlearning. While some of them have tried to adapt course-based teaching and exam-based assessment methods to mobile learning, they are often less than successful because they are not aligned with the unique performances of mobile devices, and the way people use them. Design thinking offers a way of solving this problem
Innovation Implementation
In this innovative concept, students will explore the five steps for design thinking including empathy, define, ideate and Prototype. We will learn how design thinking for educators who are creative problem solvers that recognize there are different kinds of issues that present themselves to be solved. We will be applying design thinking to two different issues for mobile learning instructional design by analyzing the problems using this framework.
Objectives were streamlined before we opt out to implement Design thinking for Educators Teaching Practices and Pedagogical Innovation for Mobile Learning. This ongoing study focuses on student learning outcomes relative to the benefits and challenges of using mobile technologies in a traditional classroom and online learning settings by following below mentioned objectives-
1.To identify the most effective teaching approaches which enhance students helpfulness
2.To explore Mobile learning practices in Higher Education
3. To assist and encourage revolutionary Design thinking for MLearning teaching innovations and their adoption
Design Thinking for Educators- Model
Mobile learning represents exciting new frontiers in education and pedagogy. With the features of 'wearable' computing and multimedia content delivery via mobile technologies, mobile learning becomes feasible and offers new benefits to instructors and learners. How do mobile technologies influence our teaching and learning in traditional education?
Design thinking way is an human-centered process, with an international standard setting benchmark coupled with Mobile Technology, we are launching new revolutionary learning methodology design thinking process onto education unlike analytical thinking, design thinking is a process which includes the "building up" of ideas, with few, or no, limits on breadth during a "brainstorming" phase which has following Design Thinking( Inspired from IDEO) Steps to be included based on IDEO principle, Empathy,Define,Ideate, Prototype and Test
