SNS Institutions, Coimbatore, is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education that goes beyond academic excellence. Recognizing the importance of holistic development, the institution has implemented a unique initiative called the Design Thinking Activation Hour. This daily ritual, guided by faculty members, consists of 15 minutes before the start of the academic content, offering students the opportunity to engage in meditation or yoga for five minutes, followed by sharing thoughts from holy books. These activities aim to foster focus, positivity, motivation, social skills, and moral values among students, setting the tone for a productive and enriching day ahead.
Meditation and Yoga:
The Design Thinking Activation Hour begins with five minutes dedicated to meditation or yoga. This practice allows students to center themselves, calm their minds, and prepare for the day's challenges. By encouraging mindfulness and introspection, students develop self-awareness and emotional stability. Sharing Thoughts from Holy Books:
Following the meditation or yoga session, three to four students have the opportunity to share their thoughts from holy books. By exploring the teachings of various religious texts, students gain valuable insights into ethical principles, compassion, empathy, and the importance of leading a righteous life. The sharing of thoughts encourages open-mindedness, respect for diverse perspectives, and the cultivation of a harmonious and inclusive school community.
