Design Matters Even in Clinic Management Software

Design Matters Even in Clinic Management Software

Clinic owners often ask me what they should be looking for when investing in new software. While there are the obvious answers like ensuring it meets privacy standards, there are also other elements to consider. One thing one thing that often gets overlooked is design.

While the look of an application (app) or software may not seem important, it can have an enormous impact on your workflow. Did you know that well-designed software can actually improve the way you perceive information and learn? So, choosing clinic software or apps that are well designed can help speed up your work, lessen miscommunication and increase efficiencies.

That's because good design fits into your workflow effortlessly. In fact, good design can make it easier to train staff on new software. Simple and modern app/software design gives the impression that it's easy to use, and that provides a sense of comfort to your staff.

One aspect of design that might go unnoticed is the credibility it can offer your clinic. Think about it, if you went to a medical office, and they were using old, out of date, DoS based software would you be concerned about your data? Likewise, new staff may be reluctant or even unable to use outdated software meaning that you could lose qualified employees!

While the look and design of clinic software and apps might not seem important, it is one more thing you should keep in mind when shopping around. I've had a sneak peek at our new charting app, and I have to say the design blew me away; take your sneak peek now!
