This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to be heavily involved in blue-chip, prestige projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical labs, heavy industry, utilities & power generation.

As a Design Manager coming from an engineering or building services background you will join this growing multi-disciplined engineering design and construction team. You will play a key role in supporting the on-site operations to towards the successful completion of projects in a safety, time, and profitable manner. You will be responsible for designing, organising, leading, coordinating and controlling all tasks in relation to the construction of Electrical projects.

Overview of Design Manager responsibilities

·??????? Understand project scope and ER’s.

·??????? Review and interpret client design management criteria aligned to contract. Interrogate current design status to ensure it is as per contract documents issue. Ensure correct design information has been issued as per contract.

·??????? Ensure correct design information has been issued to subcontractors for procurement. Compile DMP for relevant project and ensure all aspects are executed during preconstruction phase.

·??????? Lead all aspects of design management & development during preconstruction phase.

·??????? Lead design workshops with both client parties and subcontractors.

·??????? Review & Understand client and project milestone schedule.

Necessary skills and requirements:

·??????? 3rd level qualification in engineering or construction

·??????? Proven experience in managing large scale design programmes.

·??????? Previous exposure to design management process leading to delivery on site.

·??????? Strong leadership and communication skills

·??????? Self-motivated and works off own initiative.

·??????? Previous DC experience essential.
