Design Manager

SENTRI Group is currently working with expanding main contractor delivering new build and refurbishment schemes to ￡150m across the public and private sectors, they are seeking a Design Manager in London with experience working at the pre-construction stage on projects over ￡40m.

The company’s current workload comes from several sectors, but they are very strong within the High Rise Residential, Leisure sectors and have a proven track record of delivering projects ranging from ￡80m.

The workload is secured via framework agreements, negotiated repeat work and competitive tendering and you will be working as part of a work-winning team where you will lead the design management aspect to ensure the project is value-engineered to maximise ‘best price’.

Experienced in the Design Management function you will ideally come from a main contracting background, possess a high level of contractual, technical and programme awareness and be professionally qualified, ideally with a degree.

Experience and skills

• Architectural qualification (or equivalent design, technical and/or construction-based qualification)
• Proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of the technical process of residential buildings
• Proven track record of managing and incorporating designs within existing buildings with residents in occupation
• Background in high rise buildings, cladding systems and building fire safety would be advantageous

On offer for this Design Manager role is a basic salary of ￡70,000 - ￡85,000 per annum plus, a ￡5500 car allowance, pension, and healthcare and bonus.
