What is Design the X You Love (DXYL)? It is a step-by-step interactive design thinking program that helps bring each of you closer to something that brings you joy.

Scott Osman, CEO of MG 100 Coaches, introduced me to?Beth Polish?two years ago.?

Beth and I took a walk in Central Park. Somehow during the walk, we forgot we had just met. Afterward, Beth walked me to my bus stop. She kept me company by asking me what my dream project was.

If you know me or have read?my first book, you know my dream is to perform a big show at Madison Garden where thousands of people design their lives all at the same time.?

Beth took me seriously. That's how our weekly conversations started. We didn't know where we were going, but we saw something in each other.

DXYL is the fruit of those conversations.?

It is an "Alone Together" experience where you can choose any topic under the umbrella of your life and design it in two hours.

Alone because you get to work on it individually; together because you get to share your ideas, values, hopes, challenges, and opportunities with other people in small breakouts.

Last year this time, we tested DXYL with my Virtual Tea audience. Energized by the very positive feedback we received, we continued to work on the tool and the experience. Meltem Parlak was instrumental in helping us create magic.

We did multiple prototypes with Lucas's?Evryman?community, Diana's?Future Proof, YPO, David's?Techonomy. In addition, I demoed DXYL with clients and friends.?

This fall, DXYL emerged as the perfect tool for employers to co-design their Hybrid Culture with their employees. Walmart Canada, Interior Design Magazine, and CVS took the lead in utilizing it.

As 2022 starts, we wanted to bring DXYL back to you in its shiny, refined, new form. Come and join the million people we hope to reach. With that, bring your friends, family, and/or team.

DXYL is a shortcut. DXYL is that shortcut in design thinking—years of my design experience and process distilled to 2 hours, 15 prompts, and 2 expressions.
