Design-Engineering - Revit+CATIA Collaboration

Today's article is about collaboration between design and engineering.

In general, design work is often done in Revit. However, engineering work in the construction stage requires the creation of detailed models and drawings for actual production, and tools that support it are used. In the process, continuity between models is lost and the freshness of the data is often questioned.

IMPARARIA uses a tool called REVIT Converter developed to maintain continuity between Revit and CATIA models. This tool converts Revit objects into CATIA components when the Converter function is activated with Revit Add On Program. With each conversion, revisions are tracked and new revisions are created for modified objects in the CATIA Component.

We have prepared a video divided into 4 stages to help you understand.

  1. This video introduces the process of converting Revit objects to CATIA Component using Revit Converter.

2. This video introduces the process of Automation referring to the converted Revit Objects

3. This video introduces the process of converting Revit objects to CATIA Component as a new revision using Revit Converter.

4. This video introduces you to the detailed model update process referencing the newly converted Revit objects.

Let us know if you have any questions about Revit Converter. Thank you for watching.
