DESIGN CONNECTIONS? > MENTORS AND MENTEES

This week, I want to celebrate one of the most critical and overlooked type of connection we can design at work.
The connection between Mentors and Mentees.
I was inspired by my friend Ruth Gotian, Ed.D., M.S. , and her co-author Andy Lopata 's new book, Financial Times Guide to Mentoring.
Dr. Ruth Gotian is the amazing Thinkers50 Ambassador, winner of their Radar Award (which makes her the #1 emerging management thinker in the world!), and the former dean of mentoring at an Ivy League medical school.?
You might also remember Dr. Ruth Gotian from when she was a guest at my Virtual Tea series for the launch of her previous book on high achievers,?The Success Factor. Her insights and research about extremely high achievers, including astronauts, Nobel Prize winners, Olympians, and?CEOs, gave us tools to develop a winner's mindset.
She is now turning her deep expertise and brilliant mind to mentoring and has compiled compelling statistics on how it can significantly impact the work we love.
Did you know?
As I read this last point, I thought how I lucky I am to have Rowena Reed Kostellow, Ralph Caplan, Bruce Hannah, Marshall Goldsmith, and Whitney Johnson, to name a few, as my mentors.
Mentors change our lives for the better.
In?"Financial Times Guide to Mentoring,"?Ruth and Andy provide strategies to help you find and leverage the right mentor, be an impactful mentor, and run top-notch and effective mentoring programs.?
In other words, how to design the right connection between mentee and mentor. This book is full of insights and practical advice about a topic rarely covered. Until now!
Pre-order your copy?here.
Let's continue to design the lives and careers we love by embracing the power of mentorship. Read this book and discover how a mentor can help you unlock your full potential.
Thank you,
Ayse
