The FSB-POND Joint Venture is excited to announce the completion of design for a new aircraft hangar complex. The purpose of the new complex is to provide the facilities at Joint Base Andrews to operate, maintain and secure the new fleet of aircraft used to support executive travel. The hangar complex will house a new fleet of aircraft to replace the aging fleet currently in use.
With design now complete, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Washington awarded the $298,211,055 construction contract to Clark Construction Group LLC of Bethesda, Maryland. The design of this specialized and unique facility required the expertise of dozens of Architects and Engineers; pictured are the discipline leads from FSB who designed the primary facility which houses the aviation operations and maintenance functions.
Frankfurt Short Bruza Associates PC (FSB) headquartered in Oklahoma City, provided architect and engineer of record services for the primary aviation operations and maintenance facility. Pond and Company (Pond), headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, provided engineer of record services for the site, infrastructure, fueling systems and ancillary buildings. FSB is known for delivering quality, award-winning projects with high customer satisfaction on flightline facilities across the United States including aircraft hangar facilities for clients ranging from the Department of Defense to Commercial Airlines.
