Design 2030 Now

Three years ago, together with Marco van Hout I had a wild idea, to organise a #SDG focussed global design jam, to train people around the world on social innovation and a sustainable mindset. Together with #UNDP, Boaz Paldi, Simon van Woerden, we turned this idea into the Global Goals Jam.

Today we host this jam on 85 locations around the world in collaboration with a group of highly motivated change agents from municipalities, design school, companies and innovation hubs. Over 4000 people are joining the jam, and dedicate their weekend (80.000 hours!) to the Sustainable Development Goals.

We truly believe we can have impact on the SDGS if we use the Digital Transformation of society, to have impact on these Global Goals. At Digital Society School we develop tools and methods to train people and help organisations on this.

Apply and combine a variety of practical tools and design thinking methods to do user research, to manage your creative process, to innovate with technology and to integrate research with creation. Make things tangible, prototype and iterate on your solutions. Explore and play with technologies to find better ways to integrate them with your solutions.
