Description of individual course in mindfulness and self-management
The course is for you
- who works too much, and find it hard to prioritize your many activities
- who experiences symptoms of stress and sleep issues
- who find it hard to stay focused on tasks for longer periods of time
- who worries that your state of mind will harm the quality of your relationsships
Purpose of the course
The purpose of the course is to introduce you to basic science-based tools that here and now helps you reduce your stress by changing your perspective, or in others words changing your brain by changing your awareness.
You learn to relate to your thoughts and feelings in a new way, that allows you not to be overwhelmed by difficult emotions and to remain aware and calm and in control of your own behavior.
The course includes introduction to mindfulness meditation, science-based tools, and mental strategies to ensure an inner environment optimized for mental balance, self-management, and resilience.
Topics included in the course
Session 1: “The benefits of practicing mindfulness meditation - and how to get started”
Session 2: “Get to know your own thinking patterns and how you can moderate it”
Session 3: “The emotions driving your irrational and unwanted behaviour”
Session 4: “Attention is the key to know yourself and the world around you”
Session 5: “Is it possible to build resilience and make learning from life a playful process?”
Session 6: “Ways to get a deeper experience of the moment and of life”
Session 7: "Responsibility is the path to freedom"
Session 8: "When success is not the answer, inklusion is"
Practical information
The course consists of 8 ONLINE sessions (each of 60 minutes), as well as 8 audio files for daily mindfulness practice between sessions (can be on ZOOM or TEAMS of your choice)
