The iFX EXPO Dubai 2024, which took place from January 16-18, was an important event for Deriv as a prominent sponsor. We presented our services at an interactive booth, built connections, and exchanged insights.

On 13 January, our office in Business Bay, Dubai, was alive with excitement as we hosted the 34th AWS User Group Dubai meeting. We welcomed 44 professionals from across the United Arab Emirates who were joined by 20 of our engineers for an event that became a hub for cloud computing enthusiasts. The passion for cloud technologies sparked vibrant discussions about the latest innovations showcased at AWS: Invent 2023.

The speakers, Mohammed Fazalullah ???? ??? ???? , Mohammad Arshad , and Ahmed Ali, along with AWS specialists Sabiha Ashik and Hameedullah Khan amazon, delivered insightful presentations that opened new avenues and inspired creative thinking among our tech team.

GitHub ignites innovation at Deriv Dubai

January brought more buzz to our Dubai office. During their regional tour, GitHub - yes, the GitHub - made a stopover on 16 January. They treated our tech teams to an intensive day exploring the forefront of development tools and coding practices. GitHub’s Pedro Oom , Marcio Tedesco , and Dirk-Jan de Vries guided over 70 of our tech experts on an exploratory journey, aiming to enhance our development processes.

Post-event, our tech experts are now armed with practical insights and tools. With Copilot as their AI assistant, streamlined workflows guiding them, and solid CI/CD and security measures as their foundation, they’re now even more prepared to tackle coding challenges confidently and efficiently.
