Dereliction of Duty

Though each U.S. President has challenges and falls short on occasion of policy objectives, the Biden administration however, has achieved a staggering number of foreign and domestic policy failures in its first term. The collection of failures are the likes of which can only be compared to the Carter administration. From Biden whispering “Don’t” during a White House press conference, his attempt to deter Iran from attacking Israel which of course failed. Or the complete debacle of the Afghanistan withdrawal and the subsequent death of 13 American services members, and hundreds of Americans and Afghan allies left behind to be butchered by the Taliban. These failures in leadership set a standard for subpar performance and disastrous results throughout the entire administration. Cabinet member within the Biden Administration see the example from the top and realize there are no consequences for failure as long as you press forward and remained loyal to the radical agenda.

Abundant examples exist of the failures across the cabinet, including the almost week the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, was out of communication with the President or his own Deputy for medical reasons.? Austin knew there would be no fallout from Biden and so felt completely comfortable with not notifying the White House of his planned absence. Despite the fact that multiple crisis were swirling around the globe, Austin lacked the honor to step down nor did Biden fire him. ?This same level of comfort, existed with Director of the U.S. Secret Service Director Cheatle, when she was so unprepared to answer basic questions, she knew would be asked during Congressional testimony. Cheatle was not fired but did resign as a result of the assassination attempt on former President Trump. The failures of this administration have been far and wide, not all of which were as dangerous as the Afghanistan debacle or the missing SECDEF, but were as costly in terms of reducing American’s opportunities and living conditions.? Not the least of which was the hapless mismanagement of the nations supply chain, by Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, in the early days of the administration which affected everything from consumer products to baby formula. No consequences for failures. More recently, the lack of support from his department for the citizens of East Palestine after the tragic train derailment, again with no consequences. Jared Bernstein, Biden Economic advisor and Janet Yellen, Treasury Secretary, both describe inflation as “transitory” in 2021.? After rising to 9.1 precent in 2022, inflation has receded to around 3.3 precent, far from targeted 2 percent.? Americans continue to struggle with gas and food prices while at the same time unemployment has begun to rise further signaling a stalling economy. The list goes on with the embarrassment of Energy Secretary Granholm and her cross-country EV tour which lasted only about as long as the battery did. Or, National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, just eight days before the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, said “The Middle East region Is quieter today than it has been in two decades”.? Sullivan, is not clairvoyant, nor should he be held to that standard. However, as NSA, regardless of party, clarity and awareness of the nature of the position is paramount. His remarks were more political and partisan than sober analysis of the situation. Reminiscent of Ben Rhodes, a promoted above his capability NSA during the Obama administration. No consequences for Vice President Harris as boarder czar or Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, for allowing mass illegal immigration and more fentanyl and human trafficking to cross the border on record. The highest deaths in Americans 18-28 is from fentanyl. ?The failures continue to accumulate as Americans suffer under the gross neglect and incompetence of this administration. ??

These failures are individual challenges grappled with by individual leaders of their agency or organization, However, there is a distinct and undeniable commonality between these failures. It is the common theme of ineptitude and dereliction of duty on behalf of American citizens. Our country can overcome any challenge or obstacle domestic, foreign or otherwise.? Theses challenges become more painful, last longer, and are more damaging than should be due to mismanagement and incompetence of those charged with fixing the problems. ?
