Lauriston Girls’ School is one of Australia's most successful and innovative Independent Girls’ Schools. The School's main campus is based in the inner Melbourne suburb of Armadale and caters for students from 3 year old Kindergarten to Year 12, offering both VCE and IB pathways. Lauriston has a second, residential campus named 'Howqua' located near the Victorian country town of Mansfield, which provides a well-established and unique experiential program for students in Year 9.

The Deputy Principal-Wellbeing is a new position to emphasise the foundational importance of wellbeing in developing a healthy school community. This role works closely with the Principal and Executive to initiate and contribute to designing, developing and articulating the strategic direction for the School, with a focus on measuring and delivering in the key strategic areas involving the wellbeing of staff and students. With a comprehensive knowledge of current educational wellbeing practices, the Deputy Principal-Wellbeing will lead research and innovation, review current wellbeing programs and initiatives, and engage the school community in elevating wellbeing practice, strengthening partnerships between parents, students, and staff. A key part of this role will be the leadership of transition programs across all campuses to ensure a seamless and supportive journey for every Lauriston student, in addition to ensuring that child safety practices are well embedded in the daily operations of the school.

Reporting to, and deputising for the Principal, the Deputy Principal-Wellbeing will be able to lead change in an inclusive manner, and actively mentor aspiring leaders, supporting colleagues to achieve excellence in the delivery of wellbeing across the school.
