Deputy President of Brazil Meets with Great Wall Motors' Jack Wey, Attention Focuses on GWM's Global Hydrogen Energy Industry Layout

Founder and chairman of GWM, Jack Wey met last Wednesday (5) with the vice-president of Brazil, Geraldo Alckmin, at an event held in Beijing, China. During the meeting, Wey revealed first-hand the first model that will be produced at the GWM factory in Iracemápolis (SP): the Haval H6 hybrid SUV.

The two leaders were in Beijing to participate in the Brazil-China Economic Seminar, held by the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), together with the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), Ministry of Relations Foreign (MRE) and Brazil-China Business Council (CEBC). The event brought together businesspeople from the largest and most promising economic sectors in Brazil and China, with emphasis on industry, finance, agribusiness and energy transition. Also present were Parker Shi, Head of GWM International; James Yang, president of GWM Brasil and CEO of GWM Americas, and Ricardo Bastos, Director of Institutional Affairs at GWM Brasil,Will Zhang, Chairman of FTXT.

In the conversation with Alckmin, Jack Wey gave a brief summary of GWM's global operation and plans for Brazil, detailing the long-term strategy focused on electrification, sustainability and safety technologies. The Chinese chairman also updated the Brazilian vice-president on the opening schedule of the Iracemápolis factory.

Jack Wey took the opportunity to show the vice president the hydrogen truck developed by the company FTXT, a division of GWM that specializes in the entire hydrogen ecosystem.

Following the conclusion of the meeting, a delegation led by Ricardo Cappelli, President of the Brazilian Industrial Development Agency, who accompanied the Vice President of Brazil on his visit to China, visited the headquarters of Great Wall Holdings Group and its various business sectors on June 7th for an on-site inspection.

During the visit, they toured FTXT’s hydrogen energy exhibition hall, research and development center, production facilities, and hydrogen-powered vehicle models, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the practical achievements of FTXT in industrial ecological layout, key technological breakthroughs, and the demonstration and promotion of hydrogen-powered vehicles. The delegation highly praised and acknowledged these achievements.

As the main carrier of the hydrogen energy business of Great Wall Holdings Group, FTXT will uphold a development strategy of "long-termism" and "ecological globalization."
