Databricks is Cloud agnostic Platform as a Service ( PaaS) offering available in all three public clouds . In this ultra short article we will see how to deploy Databricks Workspace on Azure.
You should have an access to your Azure Cloud Account with admin privileges.
In my case, I am using the FREE Azure account & trying to deploy Databricks for free 14 days trial.
Let's start the Step by Step process.
Step1: Login to your Account via the Azure Portal.
Step2: Search "Azure Databricks" in the search bar & Click on it.
Step3: Click on "create" button & fill all the mandatory options.
Here are the details, I have provided. Don't forget to choose 14 days trail from the dropdown.
Step4: Click "Review & Create" & wait for 3/4 mins.
Step5: Now let's login to our newly created service ( Azure Databricks workspace )
Step6: Let's create a single node cluster & test our workspace by executing few lines of code in the notebook.
Step7: Create a notebook & attache the cluster. Write few commands & execute.
Wow!! See how quickly we managed to create fresh Databricks workspace & started using it.
Thats it. We are done. Now from here onwards everything remains the same the way we work in AWS, GCP or Community Edition Databricks.?
This marks the end to this article. I hope, I am able to provide you something new to learn. Thanks for reading, Please provide your feedback in the comment section. Please like & share if you have liked the content.?
Thanks !! Happy Learning !!
