Expanding Access to Axon Citizen

Knowing our business has a strong foundation, we next must ask ourselves what we can do to help others during their time of need. In particular, our customers are bearing a huge burden during this crisis.  

They don’t get to stay home. They must be out in the community maintaining order and helping people in need. So, we have been looking for a meaningful way that we can support our customers in this critical time. We are making Axon Citizen available at to every public safety agency worldwide at no cost through the end of 2020.*

Axon Citizen allows officers or dispatchers to send a secure link to private citizens so they can directly upload digital evidence into the agency’s Evidence.com account. We will also be including Citizen for Communities, Upload XT to upload from desktop, and the Prosecutor and court sharing workflows. This will enable agencies to collect and share digital evidence online, avoiding the need to send officers out into the field to collect evidence on thumb drives or deliver CD’s to prosecutors and court.  

Social distancing is the number one tool we have to mitigate this global pandemic — and we have tools that can help officers do their jobs more safely without physical contact for these procedures. We are excited to be able to offer this critical capability to every public safety agency to help them through the COVID-19 crisis. Again, we are offering this service to any public safety agency anywhere in the world (subject to service delivery logistics) through the end of the year.
