The Department of Education and Training is funding professional development to support contracted Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG) RTOs in preparing Training and Assessment Strategies that are consistent with Standard 1 of the National RTO Standards and the Users’ Guide to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
The VET Development Centre (VDC) has developed an interactive one day workshop focussed on the knowledge and skills needed to develop comprehensive Training and Assessment Strategies which meet the VTG contractual requirements. The workshops are suitable for Trainers and Assessors, Course Coordinators and Managers, Compliance and/or QA Managers, and RTO managers. Participants should have a working knowledge of Training Packages and ideally have a basic understanding of the current VTG contract.
Topics to be covered include:
- VTG contractual requirements that relate to Training and Assessment Strategies
- What underpins effective Training and Assessment Strategies
- Developing an effective Training and Assessment Strategy – the process
- Documenting and continuous improvement of Training and Assessment Strategies
Who can attend?
Trainers and Assessors, Course Coordinators and Managers, Compliance and/or QA Managers, RTO managers.
Participants should have a working knowledge of Training Packages and ideally have a basic understanding of the current VTG contract
This program is funded by the Victorian government and only staff of RTOs contracted as providers of Victorian Government subsidised training through the Victorian Training Guarantee Program are eligible to attend.
