Demystifying AI

Demystifying AI is not just about understanding technology; it's about envisioning its potential impact. From providing clear frameworks for AI readiness to seamless implementation at scale, the journey requires insight, strategy, and ethical consideration.

You need to make sense of AI first before you dive deep into creating a strategy for implementing AI in your organization.

First: Understand who you are as an organization, what you want to do more of and what you'd like to do better. In short: What's your USP? We may think AI is going to "take over:, but actually, it should become 'a buddy' in our journey towards resource allocation, cost saving, time management, and so on.

AI amplifies who and what you already are as an organization.

Second, get clear on what your team is most interested in achieving with an AI strategy. Is it improved operations? A seamless infrastructure? Better client engagement? From there, you can start figuring out what’s needed from an implementation perspective.

Then, make sure figure out your infrastructure, staff competencies (do your teams want to learn? Are they curious and collaborative?) and technical abilities. There’s a super useful framework you can access to understand how you rate as an organization across a multitude of different factors. It also allows you to identify areas for improvement, which is great. We built an agent that'll walk you right through how all of this works. And you get an assessment to help you figure out what you need to do next.

Finally, I've found that a Zoom in / Zoom out strategy is key. Be mindful that if you’re focusing too much on the nitty-gritty, you might lose sight of your North Start (e.g. being the best at fill in the blank in the world) and if you’re too focused on the Zoom out (entirely focused on a 'five year plan', for example), you might lose step of actions you should be taking today.

Few ideas to get you started

  1. Conduct a thorough analysis of your organization's goals, USP, and areas for improvement to determine the best approach to AI implementation.
  2. Engage with your team to understand their interests and goals for AI strategy, and tailor the implementation plan accordingly.
  3. Utilize a framework to assess your organization's readiness for AI implementation and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Balance the focus between the big picture objectives and the practical implementation steps to ensure alignment with the organization's overall vision.
  5. Consider the potential impact of AI on resource allocation, cost saving, and time management, and how it can enhance rather than replace existing processes and capabilities.
