Flying high

The city of San Antonio has secured commitments for new airline use and lease agreements with seven carriers that will extend their operations at San Antonio International Airport. The new leases run for 10 years, each with an additional five-year option. They are expected to generate $3.2 billion in revenue for the city over that 15 years.

The city is still dealing with Southwest Airlines, trying to negotiate a deal with them, as well. But so far, they can't seem to come to an agreement. Read more in senior reporter W. Scott Bailey's recent article, here.
