Demand for at-home leisure facilities has never been greater, with our bespoke clients seeking to push the boundaries to create the ultimate home spa, which naturally features a swimming pool as the focal point. 

Whilst most people in the market for a pool typically start by deciding between either indoor or outdoor, we are currently working with two separate clients who want one of each. Recognising that nothing beats an outdoor pool in the height of summer, our clients can enjoy a piece of the Mediterranean lifestyle when the sun is at its highest, whilst enjoying an alternative, sheltered option for the rest of the year. 

We have also found that the size of a swimming pool is also getting bigger - whilst a few years ago plunge pools were all the rage, the average pool size we now install is between 15 - 18 metres, making it a practical fitness option as well as a relaxing leisure facility. Demand for water jet systems has increased notably too, giving swimmers the option to alter water resistance to suit their home fitness regime. 

It's not just the technical aspects which are changing, clients are increasingly looking for ways to personalise the aesthetics of their pool, making it feel like a part of the home, rather than merely an add-on. Rejecting the traditional blue colour scheme, one of our clients has requested a 'blood red' pool, complete with red glimmering tiles that will add to the drama of the property. Clients are also increasingly seeking to replace the traditional plain walls of leisure suites with splash-proof artwork, from glass murals to perspex covered paintings, adding a new dimension to the swimming experience.

The value added from a high quality swimming pool is significant wherever the home is located, but in London, it commands a particularly high premium. With space generally restrictive in the capital, to have a luxurious swimming pool in your home is the shining jewel in your crown.
