Welcome to our first 2025 edition of Neyen Respire. In this issue we're happy to share our first Insights article which delves into the current demand and supply for carbon credits in the ASEAN region and makes the case for setting caps to drive demand and stimulate low-carbon investments.
It is with great pride that we are able announce a new edition to our team;? Andreas A. Hutahaean, Ph.D , a world renowned blue carbon expert and coastal-marine environmentalist. Andreas will head up our operations in Indonesia from our base in Jakarta. Celebrating Andreas' arrival, we're delighted to share an in-depth Q&A where he shares his background and thoughts on the opportunities and challenges for Blue Carbon and Nature Based Solutions.
January saw the resumption of our inFUSE Accelerator carbon market program in Jakarta with two fantastic workshops on Taking Blue Carbon? Beyond NDCs and the Blue Carbon Value of Seagrass Meadows. We're delighted to share our workshop summary reports where you will get a flavor of the topic and the subsequent discussions. Season 2 kicked-off with back-to-back sessions on Blue Carbon: Taking Blue Carbon beyond NDCs, and The Blue Carbon Value of Seagrass Meadows.
Indonesia’s significance in the global blue carbon narrative was a key focus, with the country holding an impressive 17% of the world’s blue carbon reserves. These workshops delved into opportunities and challenges of unlocking that potential and the benefits to be gained.

3 周Great Good to see as always Indonesia has been a leader in foraying carbon solutions through Nature. So leveraging blue carbon by infusing it beyond NDCs targets was anticipated and expected. Worth emulation. InFUSE Accelerator has been very close to me for past few months and it did speed up the process and policies that goes into strategizing nature into business
