Where on earth did 2024 go to!?

It has felt like a year of two halves, in some ways, with economic conditions impacting the confidence of clients and would-be M&A buyers, alike, in the first half of the year. The back half of the year, however, after the summer break, seems to be a different story with a definite ramp-up in M&A due diligence activity and new consulting projects mobilising. After a couple of difficult years for professional services, this is welcome news for many!

We have spent most of our time this year supporting customer business development pursuits, client engagements and due diligence assignments.

We've seen enhanced focus on our people & culture benchmarking products including culture, leadership composition, skills & recruitment and headcount benchmarking.

We have also enjoyed supporting Technology Due Diligence teams across our customer base.

Aside of customer benchmarking briefs, the team has been busy enhancing our underlying data acquisition and processing platform and our self-service front-end. With continued advances in the field of Machine Learning (including LLMs), we have been able to transform our platform's capabilities to make it faster, more accurate and surfacing deeper insight for our customers.

Highlights of 2024 at Deltabase include:

• Launching our unique and powerful Culture & EVP benchmarking platform for self-service company benchmarking;
• Benchmarking the culture of over 1,500 companies to create the world's largest open-source culture benchmarking dataset;
• Launching an exclusive cohort program for the world's leading experts on culture transformation;
• Hearing how well clients are reacting to seeing like-for-like competitor benchmarking and how our consulting customers are using our insight during the sales cycle to win more work (win rates of 83%!);
• Launching our new 'Managed Service' commercial model which gives our customers unlimited access to our benchmarking service for an annual subscription (resulting in a 7x increase in demand);
• Onboarding 10 new consulting and deals advisory customers during the year;
• Working with our first corporate customer to benchmark culture against a peer set of 9 key competitors;
• Achieving a new record-breaking turnaround time for our customers of 27 minutes (from customer approval to receipt of client insight & benchmarking), breaking our previous record of 3 hours 42 minutes; and
• Adding more data science & engineering horsepower to the team.

What we're planning in 2025

In the New Year, our focus will turn to deploying the first major release to our culture & EVP benchmarking platform which will bring a step-change in functionality and performance whilst laying the foundations for us to integrate other data types.

We will also close an investment round to find the right long-term partners for our growth journey and to inject the capital needed to accelerate our product development, sales and marketing.

Furthermore, we will grow the team with active recruitment taking place into the New Year for key roles including Company Intelligence Analyst and Marketing Manager.
