Delta Electronics Australia Proudly Supports Hobart Airport's New EV Charging Infrastructure
Sydney, Australia, 17th June 2024 – Delta Electronics Australia, a global leader in power management and provider of IoT-based smart green solutions, today announced its involvement in the completion of the new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at Hobart Airport. This project represents a significant step forward for sustainable transportation in Tasmania, making it easier for travellers and locals alike to choose eco-friendly travel options.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with Hobart Airport on this important initiative,” said Tom H. Delta Electronics Australia Country Manager. “The new charging stations will provide convenient charging access for EV drivers, promoting sustainable transportation choices and reducing Tasmania’s carbon footprint.”
“Delta Electronics is committed to supporting the transition to electric vehicles across Australia,” Kal G. , EV Charging Solutions Business Development Manager at Delta Electronics Australia added. “Our industry-leading City Charger 100kW units boast high efficiency and reliability, ensuring a seamless charging experience for EV users.”
The initial phase includes the installation of two charging stations—one dedicated to the car rental business and another in the valet parking area. This setup is designed to cater to both rental car operators, who need quick turnaround times, and passengers who want the convenience of a charged vehicle upon arrival. The project is designed to be expandable, with the potential to add more chargers as demand increases.
The new charging stations at Hobart Airport are equipped with two of Delta Electronics’ powerful City Charger 100kW units. These DC fast chargers are compatible with most EVs in Tasmania, ensuring rapid and efficient charging for a wide range of electric vehicle models. The stations are also conveniently located within the airport, making it easy for travellers to top up their batteries while parked.
“We decided to undertake this project to introduce electric vehicle charging at Hobart Airport due to the growing demand from our passengers,” said Belinda Bresnehan , Hobart Airport. “The addition of Delta Electronics’ City Charger 100kW stations aligns with our commitment to sustainability and provides a convenient option for environmentally conscious travellers.”
