Vegetables sales are the lowest in 50 years ??
Data released by The Food Foundation found that veg sales decreased from 182g per person per day in 2020/21 to 154g in 2021-22. Furthermore, it was found that the decline in sales was a lot greater for lower-income families, due to the cost of living crisis.
Sainsbury's delivers strongest growth in a decade ??
The supermarket giant has delivered its strongest growth in market share in a decade, taking an additional 0.4 percentage points to reach 15.6%. 'The last time it made this big a jump was in 2013' - says Kantar's Fraser McKevitt. Grocery sales are forecasted to hit? £13bn for the first time ever this Christmas.
