In 2002, Frank Ioffrida founded Aircraft Hardware West, Inc. (AHW) with the vision to be a niche distributor of aircraft fasteners for the commercial and military industries. What started as an idea to serve specific markets with niche products ordering methods, evolved into a company that believes delivering hardware as-a-service offers a more beneficial solution to its OEM customers.

This idea was only possible because of a web technology platform that AHW designed in collaboration with its software company, Component Control. This IT platform supports all the operational functions to deliver hardware with complete visibility to both the customer and the AHW management team. "We can remotely manage, track, and measure our performance which makes our delivery service programs scalable worldwide", says Mr. Ioffrida. "For our customers, it reduces or eliminates the costliest element of their hardware spend, labor".

Over the past several years, key customers have adopted our operational delivery services, Advanced Inventory Management Systems (AIMS), and with their feedback allowed us to perfect the system to achieve all our customer objectives with substantial cost savings. With AIMS programs running in OEM facilities in the US and Mexico, we continue to see the benefits and customize to different production applications like kitting efficiencies, stock buyback of overrun of parts, and how to change with our customer’s business. Business never stays the same, and our AIMS program on this web platform changes with our customers to continually improve and stay lean. 

We are very optimistic about our AIMS programs with our key customers moving to these programs in the US and Mexico. Our performance and proven AIMS programs offer great options to our customer base, and new companies searching for leaner methods than the traditional ordering and delivering to their production areas creating excess inventory that continues to increase costs.
