Delivering Draft 052-1

This document is the first to draft, deliver and perfect the presentation file 2021 Video 052 by Hilary Cluett.

Presentation Purpose

To play with English in context because some words sound identical however mean different things, such as: too into it and to intuit.

Presentation Type

This type of presentation is informational and to explore identical sounding words in context, so no one feels alone and afraid to ask questions because the only way to understand English is to ask questions and put it in context.

Image to Discuss

The rectangular frame is a third longer along its horizontal border, than its shorter vertical edge. As orientation, up and to the right is positive. The background is dark gray.

This image focuses on two lines of text, top and bottom. If the image is in two columns, then the left side is blank, and both lines of text align vertically in the center of the right column.

Top line of text is To Intuit.

Bottom line of text is Too Into it.

Decoration of two hearts between the two lines, where the heart on the left is between the Ts of the word To on the first line and Too on the second line; and the heart on the right is between the last letter T of the word Intuit on the first line and the letter T of the word It on the second line.

Image as a Table

The two lines of text present here as a table of four columns by four major rows.

As read left to right, the list of four columns is: Page Chunk, Alignment in Column, Page Hierarchy, Text or Shape.

As read top to bottom the list of six major rows is: page chunk, Top Line, Bottom Line, Decoration.

Transcript Text

Hi, UX designers, this is Hilary Hilary Cluett Welcome to Video 52. Today is Sunday, the 21st of February on Sundays a bit of a wild card. And this is one of those fun wordplay situations that happens in English if someone's speaking quickly, or you can't see the context. And you just hear it. So I thought this is great, to intuit, too into it. They sound identical, however, mean very different things. If you say you are looking for someone who intuits, to intuit, that means to use your intuition to solve a problem. I intuited the results, I used my intuition to figure out the results. To be too into it, too into something, is to be all consumed by something to be so far into it, that you can't see a different perspective. You're too into it. So they sound the same. They mean very different things. Have you ever used either one of these phrases or the verb to intuit? Or told someone that they're just too into it? identical, right, but not. That's English. Okay. Happy Sunday. I hope you really get into it. Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye.

Keyword Frequency Table and Context

The keywords I mention in the video present here as a table of use count, keyword, and context. This table has three columns and twenty major rows.

The first major row is titles for each column. In sequence, from the left-to-right, the three column titles are: Use Count, Keyword, Context.

The other nineteen major rows represent the keywords used, each keyword has a corresponding count to its left and context to its right.

If the same keyword occurs during the presentation with different context, then the semi-colon punctuates this distinction, to delineate multiple contexts within one line of the table.

The nineteen keywords on the list are: Fun, Hilary, 21st, Solve, Verb, Problem, Intuition, Sunday, Identical, English, Sundays, Results, Wordplay, February, Intuit, Today, Sound, Phrases, Wild Card.

Tables, images, and alt text are all available on the Sway. It can open on any device. To view a table to list the keywords from the audio file, frequency of use, and context please open the Sway.

Word Cloud Image

Otter.ai generates this word cloud automatically when transcribing audio files to tangible text. Then I snap a screenshot of it on my iPad.

The rectangular frame is a third longer along its horizontal border, than its shorter vertical edge. For orientation, up and to the right is positive. The background is dark blue.

Nineteen words appear in various orientations and sizes across a rectangular frame. From the top left-side to the bottom the following nineteen words appear: Fun, Hilary, 21st, Solve, Verb, Problem, Intuition, Sunday, Identical, English, Sundays, Results, Wordplay, February, Intuit, Today, Sound, Phrases, Wild Card.

This is the same image from the title card of the YouTube Video except this image is branded by otter.ai with a dark navy-blue background with lighter blue, pink, green, purple, and grey writing to form the word cloud, where each word is written in varied sizes and orientation.
