DELIVERED
Yesterday Carol McEachen received her 30X62” commissioned painting “Wet Tails in the Wind”. Attached are photos from Carol in their BC home.
Similar to this painting, most commissions are inspired by my previous work (that’s why I have a selection of sold pieces in each category on my website www.PaulVanGinkel.com). It’s a pretty “easy” process because I can literally “see” what the client likes (when they reference previous pieces) and the client can “see” what I can do.
Commission collaborations are also fun because the client can provide input and suggestions (not just the size and subject). In Carol’s painting, she requested some female riders, wilder tails (and hair) and more colour and brightness (she even influenced the title of the piece). Despite being inspired and influenced by a previous painting(s), no two pieces are identical, the new painting is simply a continuation of a series.
I also create custom (commission) paintings from photos supplied by the client ([email protected]).
