Deliver Something...
The promise of this weekly LinkedIn newsletter is to help you Focus. #deliver (which, in this context, means I'll share an article each week[ish] with ONE actionable tip about increasing productivity by doing less).
Doing less. Becoming more productive.
Heck, I've written about tips to build it and deliver it here (and many other places -- remember -- Focus. #deliver and all that!).
Today.
The one actionable tip is to DO THIS:
Deliver Something.
The Problem:?I Am Doing So Much
This week, imagine you and I are waiting for a pizza to be delivered.
OK. Maybe not pizza... but pick something that you and I can feast on together in your imagination.
ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "I am DOing so much..."
Yep yep.
Busy busy busy.
Go you.
When I ask people how they are doing, many people [NOT everyone] tells me, "Wow I am super busy."
I work super hard to NOT do this (be a victim of busy-ness on a hamster wheel).
Yep.
You have control of how you respond and react.
Only you.
Let that sink in for a sec (insert zen music sound cut here).
The Actionable Tip: Deliver Something
No matter how fast your hamster wheel is spinning (and the faster you run the more it means you need to keep it going), the wheel will stop.

Ask any dead person (well... ok... good luck with THAT one lol).
Stop for a second as you read this. Remember, you just had another zen moment a few sentences ago (smile).
Think about ONE of the many things you have started and not finishing.
Finish it.
Deliver it.
Deliver something.
Will it be perfect?
Prolly not (and by the way, as my friend Chris Brogan reminds us only airline pilots and doctors [or maybe its surgeons??] should strive for that).
But here's the thing.
It'll be done.
Delivered.
And, then you can Focus on the next thing without worrying about not delivering the thing you just delivered (times infinity).
In the comments below, please share?ONE?actionable tip about how you "deliver something" in order to do less and become more productive.
Phew.
Another article delivered (see what I just did there?!?!).
Now... go deliver something yourself and become even more productive because you have one less thing on your plate.
Future you will thank you.
Thank you and enjoy scrolling to your next article or thing on social media.
